1–16 August Tartu Buzz Old Town Festival, Tartu

Continuing for its second and final week, this massive city-wide event celebrating the history and culture of Tartu has a great programme.

 

8–15 August Tartuff, Tartu

This film festival offers eight nights of free screenings of new as well as classic films in two locations right in the heart of Tartu.

 

10–13 August HALO: Silence and Light Performance, Kuressaare

In honour of the 125th anniversary of Louis Khan’s birth, there will be a series of performances that bring together music, light, movement, and architecture in Kuressaare’s Episcopal Castle.

 

14 August Hawaii Express Kõkõva 900/500, Tallinn and around Estonia

A “bikepacking” journey starting and ending in Tallinn that loops participants throughout the northwestern Estonian countryside, including islands, on trips of 500 or 900 km.

 

14–15 August Ülemiste Night Run, Tallinn

Two full nights of various fun runs and actual competitive runs, as well as entertainment for the whole family. Kids especially will enjoy the costume run.

 

14–15 August Mooste Folk, Mooste

A much smaller folk music festival celebrating the local traditions and culture of Mooste, in southeastern Estonia, featuring concerts, workshops, food, and much more.

 

14–15 August Narva Opera Days, Narva

A two-day festival combining classical opera with modern music theatre, featuring two main performances, one of which is by the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra.

 

14–16 August RuhnuRahu or Ruhnu Peace Festival, Ruhnu

Dubbed Estonia’s smallest festival, several well-known Estonian artists will perform on this tiny, isolated island in the middle of the sea.

 

15 August Breakwave 2026, Audru

An all-night drum & bass festival in Audru, near Pärnu, featuring several artists, a light show, great atmosphere, and lots of dancing.

 

15–16 August Peipsi Food Street, Lake Peipus region

37 pop-up restaurants along Estonia’s “Onion Route” will serve visitors everything the region has to offer from the lake, fields, forests, bogs, and most importantly: kitchens.
