Queens of the Stone Age in Tallinn

When a band is almost impossible to classify according to genres, then you know it’s a good band. Are Queens of the Stone Age a blues band? Rock? Electronica? A mix? The correct answer is all of these. This is why any concert by QOTSA is a must-see event.
Fan-favourites for nearly 30 years, the band was formed in 1996 by lead-singer and frontman Joshua Homme, a master of the guitar, and known for his falsetto vocals. Joining him as always will be Jon Theodore on drums, Michael Shuman on bass, Dean Fertita on keyboards and guitar, and Troy Van Leeuwen on guitar and keyboards.
QOTSA are also known for their “trilogy of masterpieces”, referring to their albums “Like Clockwork”, “Villains”, and “In Times New Roman”. The band have even collaborated with Dave Grohl. Described as the ultimate “driving music”, they take the raw machoism of 70s rock, and blend it seamlessly with several other genres.
Opening for Queens of the Stone Age will be the band So Good. Doors to Tallinn’s Unibet Arena will open at 18:00 on 2 August, and the concert will start two hours later. More information is available here.
