6 August Moby concert, Tartu

Popular and award-winning American DJ Moby returns to the stage at the Tartu Song Festival Grounds after a break from touring that has lasted several years. His music blends elements of EDM, modern pop and blues.

 

6–9 August Kuressaare Maritime Festival, Saaremaa

Celebrating its 30th edition, the Kuressaare Maritime Festival offers concerts in several small harbours, a two-day market, delicious food, fun activities for children, a lively maritime atmosphere and opportunities to visit ships.

 

7–8 August Estonian Grand Prix, Pärnu

Held at the Porsche Ring circuit, this motorsport and entertainment event features races for various formula and touring car classes, as well as circuit motorcycles, as part of the Estonian, Finnish and Baltic championship series.

 

7–8 August Tartu Food and Wine Festival, Tartu

The area around Küüni Street fills with high-quality pop-up restaurants, street food vendors and a dedicated wine area featuring tastings, workshops and presentations for wine enthusiasts.

 

7–8 August Viru Folk, Käsmu

Held in the idyllic Captains’ Village of Käsmu on the Gulf of Finland, this year’s folk music festival focuses on the music and cultural heritage of Indigenous peoples.

 

7–9 August TreskiFest, Treski, Setomaa

One of Setomaa’s major summer events, this festival combines music with inspiring spiritual values. Estonian and international artists perform alongside literature, meditation and cultural workshops. Saunas and ice baths provide opportunities to relax.

 

8 August Lestafest Flounder Festival, Kõrgessaare, Hiiumaa

A celebration of seafood and maritime traditions with flounder as the star attraction. Held at Kõrgessaare Harbour next to the Viscosa Culture Factory, the festival includes a fishing competition, food market, family activities and evening dancing at Viscosa.

 

8–9 August Hauka Fair, Antsla

Dating back to 1903, this huge two-day fair in the South Estonian town of Antsla brings together buyers and traders from across the Baltic region. If you can’t find it here, you probably don’t need it. The event also features entertainment for all ages.

 

8–15 August Tartuff Love Film Festival, Tartu

A giant open-air screen on Tartu Town Hall Square hosts free screenings exploring love in its many forms. The programme includes not only romantic favourites, but also new films and classic cinema with darker and more thought-provoking themes.

 

9 August The Cure concert, Tallinn

Formed in the late 1970s and led by Robert Smith, The Cure remains one of the world’s most influential alternative rock bands. On the Baltic leg of its tour, the band will perform only in Tallinn at the Unibet Arena outdoor stage and in Vilnius.
