Tastes of Narva 2026

Narva in the northeast corner of Estonia is one of the most up-and-coming places in Estonia, so what better way to spend a Saturday in late August…29 August in fact…than experiencing all the great foods the city and region have to offer? Against the backdrop of Hermann Castle, this culinary fair is free for all to attend, and there will be food competitions, entertainment, and live music for the whole family. Welcome to Tastes of Narva 2026!

From noon until 18:00 that Saturday, Tastes of Narva will feature the city’s and region’s restaurants and cafés, showcasing their signature dishes. It is worth noting with a hint of humour that just 100 meters away, none of these great flavours are available. This last sentence should be read while imagining a winking emoji.

There will be several prizes awarded for Tastes of Narva 2026, including Best Main Course, Best Appetiser, Best Dessert, and the People’s Choice award. The last one requires your attendance! All the foods winning these awards however will be available to the public.

In addition to these culinary competitions, there will be activities and entertainment for children, a concert, prize drawings from participants and sponsors, and guided tours along the river’s promenade and in the immediate area, known as Joaorg, or “River Valley”.

Tastes of Narva 2026 is the 12th time this event has taken place. The official website is here. While visiting this event, feel free to explore the lovely Hermann Castle right next door, and walk around the city itself. The waterfront is particularly enjoyable!
