Tallinn Chamber Music Festival 2026

The 22nd Tallinn Chamber Music Festival will take place from 22–29 August 2026 under the theme “Bridges of Folklore”. The festival explores how folk traditions from different cultures have influenced classical music throughout history. Over the course of eight days, there will be a concert each night in one of three iconic venues in Tallinn.

Over the course of these eight concerts, audiences will experience the main theme of the festival. These are the concerts:

—22 August: “Opening Concert & Jürjendal 60”, Tallinn Town Hall;

—23 August: “Leevi Madetoja—Melodia Intima”, Tallinn Town Hall;

—24 August: “Percussion Jugglers”, Swedish St Michael’s Church;

—25 August: “Home, Sweet Home”, Tallinn Town Hall;

—26 August: “O Ecclesia”, Tallinn Town Hall;

—27 August: “Alla Zingarese”, Tallinn Town Hall;

—28 August: “Keys Across America”, Tallinn Town Hall;

—29 August: “Closing Concert—Impressions and Expressions”, House of the Blackheads.

The concerts series will feature guest performances from several countries, including Lithuania, Finland, France, and the US. To quote the concert series’ artistic director, Anna-Liisa Bezrodny, “Music has a unique and magical power: it connects people from every corner of the world, wordlessly, from heart to heart. On my journey I have encountered countless extraordinary artists, and my greatest dream is to bring those encounters to the festival—to share with audiences that spark which ignites when different cultures, traditions, and histories weave together into one music.”

The complete programme and more information are available here.
