I Land Sound Festival Returns to Saaremaa

The internationally acclaimed I Land Sound Festival is returning to Saaremaa for the eighth time later this month. Often dubbed Estonia’s Burning Man, I Land Sound offers multiple stages with live acts, DJs, food and beverage, and all the dancing and friends you can handle.

Headlining acts each year include Estonia’s most popular musicians and bands, and often famous acts from abroad. While this year’s full lineup still has not been released, the current lineup includes names such as Ats Luik, D’Julz, Nikolajev, Otis, Robin Ordell, Roi Perez, Shonky, Simone de Kunovich, and Traumer.

Music isn’t the only thing offered at I Land Sound. Several artists will also display their magic, with these open-air galleries located throughout the venue. Saunas are also available, and sauna-goers can enjoy the sea air under the starry late-July sky.

Permanent accommodations are limited due to the location of I Land Sound, which is in Illiku, Saaremaa, but camping and glamping are available to all. And if you have a designated driver, you are of course welcome to drive 45 minutes to a luxurious spa hotel in Kuressaare.

Each year I Land Sound presents a massive wooden effigy that will be set ablaze in front of the onlookers. This isn’t a festival for only one group of people, it’s family-friendly, with music and activities for children and adults of all ages.
