Imagine Dragons to Perform in Tallinn

Hugely popular American pop-rock band Imagine Dragons will have their first concert in Estonia on Tuesday, 3 June at the Song Festival Grounds in Tallinn. Formed in 2008 in Las Vegas, the band hit mega-stardom in 2013 with their debut album “Night Visions”. The song “Radioactive” from this album held the record for the most number of weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Their second album, “Smoke + Mirrors”, reached number one in the US, Canada, and UK. This was followed by several number one hit singles, such as “Thunder”, “Believer”, and “Whatever It Takes”. Since their formation, the band have released seven studio albums, including last year’s “Loom”. A loom of course in English means a machine for producing fabric. In Estonian however, “loom” means “animal”. This should provide for an interesting experience for the audience.

Over the years Imagine Dragons have been nominated for countless awards, and have won a Grammy, an MTV Video Music Award, and a World Music Award for “World’s Best Rock Act”, and several others. The band are also widely recognised for their philanthropy, notably for the LGBTQ+ community. It is probably no coincidence that the concert is only a couple of days after Tallinn Pride, which will be held on 30–31 May. Other notable charitable acts include the video for their 2023 single “Crushed”, which tells the story of a young Ukrainian boy who survives Russian shelling, although his town and community did not.

This is the seventh major tour for the band. Gates open at 17:00, and the opening act, Declan McKenna, will take the stage at 20:00.
