Experiences for classical music lovers

MustonenFest will take place this year from 19-26 January in Tallinn, Tartu, Viljandi and Narva. Andres Mustonen, the acclaimed musician and conductor, will continue as artistic director. The event will bring together top musicians from Finland and abroad to perform music ranging from orchestral compositions to chamber music and choral works.

This year’s programme includes works by Bach, Vivaldi, Haydn, Czerny and Pärt. Bach will be a special focus, with no fewer than six concerts featuring his music. This is because Bach’s music has played a deep role in Mustonen’s 60-year career.

Although the festival focuses on classical music, the concert programme also includes jazz. The jazz concert at Philly Joe’s, Tallinn’s most popular jazz club, will feature Mustonen, Sooäär, Ruben and Remmel together with Israeli pianist Yarsolav Obraztsov.

Festival tickets can be purchased from the official website or from Piletilevi.
