Festive Christmas concerts in Estonia

 

Christmas in Estonia is also a time for enjoying music. It’s a wonderful way to get into the festive spirit, spend time with family or friends, and embrace the season. We’ve gathered a selection of the best Christmas concerts to help you celebrate.

 

17.–21.12 Mozart Fest IV, Tallinn

For four days, Mozart Fest IV invites classical music enthusiasts to revel in the works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The festival programme features chamber music and solo performances by musicians from Estonia and beyond.

 

18.12 Strauss Festival Orchestra of Vienna, Tallinn

The Vienna Strauss Festival Orchestra brings a lively party atmosphere to Tallinn, bringing Viennese waltzes and orchestral music to life. The orchestra is made up of musicians from Vienna’s biggest and most famous orchestras and is conducted by maestro Peter Guth.

 

20.12 Orthodox Singers 35th jubilee concert, Tallinn

The Orthodox Singers celebrate their long and successful career with an impressive gala concert in the beautiful church hall of the Niguliste Museum. The choir is renowned for its interpretation of Orthodox church music and the programme includes church music from Georgia, Serbia, Syria and also spiritual music by contemporary composers.

 

20.-28.12. C-Jam’s The 20 best Christmas songs of all time Christmas tour

Cello quartet C-Jam will perform music in various styles on classical instruments. This time the quartet will perform in Tori, Nõmme, Tartu and Tallinn. The musicians have been playing together for twenty years.

 

26.12 Estonian Voices Christmas concert ”You care”, Tallinn

Estonian Voices are one of Estonia’s best-known a cappella groups. The ensemble will sing modern arrangements of Christmas carols at Rahu Church in Nõmme. Their polyphonic and expressive singing fills the concert hall with a unique atmosphere that is sure to stay with the audience for a long time.
