Victoria Olt Gallery opens a new group exhibition for first-time art collectors at two locations in Tallinn

Today, Saturday, November 9, Victoria Olt Gallery will open its annual group exhibition, “Your First Art Collection,” at two locations in Tallinn. The first part of the exhibition will open at Viru 20 at 6 pm, followed by a move to the gallery’s new space at Rävala pst 12 at 7 pm. This exhibition is designed to inspire visitors to begin their own personal art collections, and includes a diverse selection of works from both experienced and emerging artists.

“Your First Art Collection” marks the gallery’s final exhibition of 2024 and features a platform for 23 artists from both Estonia and internationally. The exhibition includes a variety of styles and techniques, providing a broad range of artwork for those interested in starting their own collection. The diverse selection aims to make art more accessible, showing that it can be enjoyed beyond gallery walls and even be seen as an investment.

“The goal of the gallery is to bring art closer to people, and this exhibition has been created with that in mind. We offer a wide selection of works to help anyone interested in starting a collection find a piece that speaks to them,” says gallery owner Victoria Olt.

The exhibition will feature a variety of works including acrylics, oils, drawings, watercolours, digital paintings, and collages. The artists represented range from local emerging talents to internationally recognized artists from Italy, the USA, Ukraine, Cyprus, Poland, the Netherlands, and China. Among the artists showcased are Agnes Cecile (Italy), Tomasz Mro (Poland/UK), Hannah Tija (USA), Marita Liivak (Estonia), and Maria-Liisa Leonidov (Estonia), among others.

This exhibition also marks the opening of Victoria Olt Gallery’s new location at Rävala pst 12 (in the former Sakala Center tower). After years of operating at Viru 20, the gallery has decided to move to a larger and more modern space. The gallery will continue to operate at its Viru 20 location until December 23rd, 2024, after which it will fully transition to its new Rävala pst 12 address, located next to the Alexela Concert Hall.

The exhibition “Your First Art Collection” will be open at both Victoria Olt Gallery locations until December 23, 2024. The gallery at Viru 20 is open daily from 11 am to 7 pm, while the Rävala pst 12 location will be open Wednesday to Saturday from 11 am to 7 pm.
