Mozart’s Requiem to be bought to life

This week, Mozart’s timeless Requiem will be performed at concerts in Tartu (March 28), Tallinn (March 29), and Pärnu (March 30) by the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra.

Mozart’s Requiem is one of the most recognisable and famous vocal musical pieces of all time, and one of the last ever produced by the legendary composer. In fact, the piece was incomplete at the time of his death in 1791 and had to be finished by one of his students, Franz Xaver Süssmayr. The first performance of it being in early 1792.

Tõnu Kaljuste

Under the direction of internationally respected Estonian conductor Tõnu Kaljuste, Yena Choi (soprano), Cätly Talvik (alto), Rasmus Kull (tenor), Raiko Raalik (bass), the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, and the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra will perform the iconic eight section piece.
