This year’s Winter Song Festival will have a rock theme

On Saturday, January 27, the enchanting winter capital of Otepää will play host to the 9th annual Winter Night Song Festival. The more than 1000 singers will be joined on stage by Estonian musical legends for a night of classic local rock hits.
Estonia is well-known the world over for its song festival and singing revolution, but did you know that there is an annual Winter Song Festival?
This year, the 9th annual Winter Night Song Festival stage in Otepää will see a total 1000 singers from all across Estonia perform beloved tunes from iconic local bands such as Optimistid, Mikron, Ruja, Virmalised, Gunnar Grapsi Grupp, Apelsin, and Rock Hotel. Renowned Estonian artists such as Ivo Linna, Robert Linna, Synne Valtri, Gerli Padar, Uku Suviste, and others will all join the 60+ choirs on stage.
Entry to the Winter Night Song Festival, which will begin at 7 pm, is free of charge. The event will also be shown the following day a 7:30 pm on TV3.
