Winter adventures for families by Estonian State Management Centre

The Estonian State Forest Management Centre (RMK) is inviting families to enjoy winter events on December 28 and 29 across Estonia. A total of seven visitor centres will host different activities, including workshops, exhibitions, and adventure trails suitable for all ages.

At the Aegviidu Visitor Centre, visitors can craft lanterns and Christmas decorations. Outdoors, an elf trail offers puzzles to solve while learning about holiday traditions.

The courtyard at the Alutaguse National Park Visitor Centre will feature illuminated elves and engaging activities. Warm beverages are available after exploring the Christmas-themed area.

In Elistvere Animal Park, visitors can feed forest animals and learn about their lives. Tea and gingerbread are served in the courtyard, and there is a chance to meet forest elves in the park.

The Kabli Visitor Centre in Pärnumaa will host a lantern workshop celebrating light as a bright spot in winter. Visitors can also create fridge magnets and spoon dolls.

At Mihkel Ranna Dendrarium, an elves’ trail is paired with stories about Mihkel Ranna and his park. The programme includes cookie baking, hot tea, and searching for Christmas decorations outdoors.

Oandu Nature Centre will mark the Year of the Estonian Book with a workshop for repurposing old books into crafts. A light art trail and a forest walk guided by elves complete the experience.

The Viimsi Visitor Centre invites guests to make beeswax candles and watch nature documentaries. The Forest is Powerful exhibition offers an engaging educational experience.
