The 18th annual International Choir Festival, this year titled “Tallinn 2025”, consists of choirs from several countries, and will be held in various churches and concert halls throughout Tallinn. There will also be a general contest for many of the participating choirs. The event is organised by the Estonian Choral Association.
Activities for the first day, 24 April, will take place in the Concert and Theatre Hall of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. Choirs from the various participating countries will give a concert consisting of mixed choirs.
The second day will see additional concerts in the House of the Brotherhood of the Blackheads, as well as the MUBA, the Tallinn School of Music and Ballet. One of the main contests will also take place on this day.
Saturday, 26 April will see a concert in Tallinn’s St. John’s Church, followed by the main event and competition of the entire festival, again in the EAMT’s Concert and Theatre Hall. This portion will be presided over by a panel of judges from Estonia, Latvia, Hungary, Sweden, and the US. It will be followed by another concert, and the awards ceremony.
Tickets to the individual events of this exciting choral festival are available here.
