19.02.2024–19.02.2026 Exhibition “Amazing Tableware”, Tallinn City Life Museum

The “Amazing Tableware” exhibition showcases a collection of ceramics, copper, bronze, and tin items dating from the 14th to the 20th century. The collection highlights the history of Tallinn’s craftsmanship, featuring items from local merchants’ homes, historical Estonian factories, and unique pieces from the city’s metalworkers and tin masters.

 

05.07–27.10 Exhibition “The Mystery of Banksy – A Genius Mind”, Tallinn

“The Mystery of Banksy – A Genius Mind”  exhibition showcases over 200 reproductions of works by the enigmatic graffiti artist Banksy, who is renowned for his provocative and boundary-pushing art. The exhibition features a diverse range of media, including graffiti, photographs, sculptures, video installations, and prints on various surfaces, offering a comprehensive insight into Banksy’s mind. While not authorised by Banksy himself, the exhibition pays homage to his influential career and unique approach to art as a tool for social commentary.

The exhibition “Inorganic Life” by Paul Rannik explores the complex relationship between organic and inorganic materials, challenging traditional notions of what is considered lifelike. By using water, stones, and coal, Rannik demonstrates that these materials can possess as much complexity and dynamism as living organisms. The exhibition encourages viewers to reflect on humanity’s impact on the world and recognise the significance of other life forms and materials.

 

16–22.09 Tallinn Design Festival, Tallinn

The Tallinn Design Festival, the largest design event in the Baltics, returns to the Krulli Quarter, showcasing the work of Estonian and international designers. Set to attract over 10,000 visitors, the festival includes a variety of exhibitions, workshops, and talks, such as the Estonian Design Awards Gala, PechaKucha lectures, and the DOM sustainable fashion show. This year, the programme extends beyond Tallinn to Joaveski, highlighting the transformative power of creative design in revitalising small communities. The event will feature contributions from designers and urbanists worldwide and will explore sustainable and innovative design solutions through presentations and a newly released book.

 

17–21.09 Mushroom Festival, Tartu

The Mushroom Festival at Tartu Environmental Education Centre offers an interesting exhibition featuring hundreds of mushroom species, both edible and poisonous. This annual event provides an opportunity to learn about the diverse world of fungi.

 

19–21.09 Wandering Lights in Kadriorg Park, Tallinn

In September, Kadriorg Park will once again be filled with mesmerising light displays for the “Wandering Lights” festival. Visitors can enjoy captivating light art and magical installations throughout the park from 8 pm to 11 pm each evening. This year’s theme, “The Power of Light,” celebrates light as a force that guides, warms, and inspires, even in the darkest times.

 

19–22.09 Unda Festival, Tartu

The nightclub HALL introduces a new electronic music festival and conference, Unda. The international festival will focus on parties, live performances, and conferences that celebrate club culture in its various forms. Unda explores club culture as a fertile ground for new concepts, ideas, and collaborations that influence broader society, intersecting with fields like anthropology, tourism, activism, and art.

 

21–22.09 Viking Window Paide – Türi Race, Paide, Türi

22.09 Brit Floyd – Pulse 2024 Tour, Tallinn

Brit Floyd, the world-famous Pink Floyd tribute band, are returning to the stage with their most ambitious production to date: Pulse. The show is led by guitarist, vocalist, and musical director Damian Darlington, who brings experience from over 2,500 Pink Floyd-related performances. Joining him are talented musicians like Ian Cattell, Edo Scordo, and Canadian Idol winner Eva Avila.
