9 January–1 March Beautiful Bizarre art exhibition, Tallinn

The award-winning works of the eighth international graphic art competition, held in 2025, are on display at the Victoria Olt Gallery in the Solaris Centre, featuring artists from around the world.

 

15 January–17 February Shrovetide Bun Festival, Tallinn

Can you overdo it with Shrovetide buns? We don’t yet recognise such a condition, but Kuklifest means indulgence continues at nearly 50 cafés and patisseries across Tallinn all the way until Shrove Tuesday.

 

24 January–30 April World Stars in Photographs, Tallinn

Fotografiska’s new exhibition presents masterful photographs by Anton Corbijn, who has spent 50 years photographing Depeche Mode, U2, the Rolling Stones, Nirvana, and many other iconic artists.

 

28–30 January sTARTUp Day, Tartu

The largest startup, innovation, and creative economy conference in the Baltic States brings around 140 speakers, 200 investors, and more than 3000 participants to the university city for networking.

 

28 January–28 February Resilient light art exhibition, Pärnu 

Colourful mixed-media paintings by Ukrainian artist Ksenia Sulaeva, who moved to Tallinn seven years ago, are on display in the gallery next to the Endla Theatre café. The themes of the works include faces, the heart, touch, and flourishing.

29 January Estonian Music Awards (EMA) Gala, Tallinn

An entertaining evening full of awards for Estonia’s top artists and bands, complemented by spectacular live music performances and stage shows.

 

30 January No Names Jazz Fellas, Tartu

Led by pianist Dmitrij Golovanov, who has also performed at Pori Jazz, the Lithuanian trio No Names Jazz Fellas—now a nationwide social media phenomenon—performs at the “satellite venue” of Philly Joe’s jazz club in Tartu.

 

30–31 January ERSO Summer Festival, Tallinn

Two concert evenings by the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra (ERSO) in a relaxed, summery atmosphere, held on warm sand inside a former industrial hall converted into an indoor beach sports centre.

 

31 January–31 December Superhero Toy Exhibition, Tartu

The new exhibition at the Tartu Toy Museum showcases, and allows visitors to play with, toys based on both fictional and real-life superheroes. Set off on an adventure with your children alongside Paw Patrol, firefighters, Biker Mice, police dogs, Pippi Longstocking, and many other heroes.

 

1 February Kolkja Winter Festival, Ranna, Tartu County

A community festival held in a lakeside village on Lake Peipus, featuring a friendly kick-sled competition, dance and song performances, lively market stalls, and plenty of good food.
