22.11–27.12 Tallinn Christmas Market, Town Hall Square, Tallinn

The Tallinn Christmas Market features over 60 stalls offering handcrafted items, sweets, and winter goods, alongside food stands serving traditional Estonian holiday dishes. Visitors can enjoy live music and dance performances, while children can have fun in a play area with carousels and meet Santa in his grotto.

 

01–29.12 Fairytale Courtyards, Old Town, Tallinn

Tallinn’s Old Town becomes a festive scene with fairy-tale courtyards, glowing light displays, and medieval streets adorned with sparkling decorations. Iconic towers and a light park at Freedom Square add to the charm, while installations inspired by fairy tales and Estonian folklore bring the season to life.

 

01.12.2024–04.01.2025 Christmas Wonderland, Torma Manor, Jõgeva County

The Winter Village offers a festive atmosphere with attractions such as Santa Claus’s elegant manor, an animal sculpture park, and seasonal train rides. Families and groups can enjoy activities like crafting workshops, Santa’s post office, and themed events such as the “Sweet Candy Rally.”

 

03.12.2024–05.01.2025 Gingerbread Mania exhibition, Design and Architecture Gallery, Tallinn

The annual Gingerbread Mania exhibition features intricate gingerbread creations by over 100 Estonian artists, with this year’s theme focused on fairy tales. The event includes workshops led by the artists, where visitors can learn baking and decorating techniques.

 

03.12.2024–07.01.2025 Christmas in Niguliste, Niguliste Church, Tallinn

Niguliste Museum welcomes visitors to the festive season with a unicorn-themed exhibition, Advent concerts, and workshops. The church tower offers panoramic views of the Old Town, while music lovers can enjoy seasonal performances and the Niguliste Organ Week in January.

 

06–27.12 Christmas Themed Walk, Tallinn

The Christmas walk in Tallinn begins at the Town Hall Square, where visitors explore the Christmas market and the medieval Old Town. Along the way, the guide shares stories about local Christmas traditions and festivities. The tour also includes visits to the Balti Jaam market and Telliskivi Creative City. The walk is available in both Estonian and English.

 

09.12 Symphonic World Hits “Universe Orchestra”, Vanemuise Concert Hall, Tartu

The Universe Symphony Orchestra will perform legendary hits from iconic artists like Queen, Metallica, Led Zeppelin, and more. With distinctive arrangements and a modern twist, the show brings these timeless hits to life with powerful instruments, talented musicians, and stunning lighting effects.

 

13.12 Thomas Anders. 40 years of Modern Talking, Alexela Concert Hall, Tallinn

Thomas Anders, the founding member and lead vocalist of the legendary band “Modern Talking,” will perform a special anniversary concert in Tallinn. 2024 marks the jubilee year of the iconic group, and Thomas Anders, who has been at the top of the business for 40 years, will celebrate with an exciting show for his fans. The concert will feature popular “Modern Talking” hits.

 

14.12 Christmas Concert, Kadriorg Palace, Tallinn

The concert features timeless arias and duets from famous operas and operettas, demonstrating the beauty and depth of classical music. Sopranos Olga Palamartšuk and baritone Atlan Karp, accompanied by pianist Ralf Taal, will bring to life masterpieces by composers like Mozart, Dvořák, Lehar, and Kalman.

 

14–15.12 Christmas Village at Open Air Museum, Open Air Museum, Tallinn

The Christmas village features festive activities like choir singing, horse rides, and craft making. Visitors can watch wooden purse crafting at Köstriaseme farm, enjoy gingerbread baking at Härjapea farm, participate in a charity lottery at Lau village shop and explore different farm exhibits. The event celebrates the Christmas spirit with traditional activities and a focus on giving.
