ÖÖvalgel Light Festival to illuminate Pärnu

The ÖÖvalgel Light Festival will illuminate the streets and parks of Pärnu from today until Saturday (September 26 to 28). This annual event transforms the city into a vibrant showcase of visual theatre, where stories come to life through light, video projections, and live performances.

The festival features a series of short performances that take place at various outdoor venues around the city, all within convenient walking distance from one another.

This year’s program includes notable performances such as “Desire,” which prompts reflection on personal aspirations, and “Ada Lovelace,” celebrating the legacy of the world’s first programmer in the Central Library yard. “Ilmalind,” inspired by Baltic Finnish folklore, explores the origins of life, while “Choices” encourages audiences to examine their daily decision-making. Each performance is presented in dynamic ten-minute segments.

Entry to the festival is free, making it accessible for everyone. You can get more information about the event from its official webpage.
