Seto Folk Festival will take place on June 28–29, 2024, in Värska, Setomaa. The festival kicks off on Friday with performances from exciting folk artists such as POSÕ, ANTSUD, and the award-winning vocal sextet Estonian Voices. Mari Kalkun will also grace the stage, bringing her unique voice and contemporary interpretations of traditional music. The night continues with the high-energy rock band Räpina Jack and concludes with a dynamic performance by Zetod, a band known for their fusion of Seto folk and rock.
Saturday offers more musical delights with artists like Monique Clare, whose cello and vocals deliver a compelling indie-folk experience. The festival also features a Seto dance celebration, and performances by H6IM, an authentic contemporary Seto band, and Angus, known for their distinctive Estonian reggae sound.
In addition to music, Seto Folk includes a variety of workshops where attendees can learn Seto crafts, dance, and even the customs of the smoke sauna. There are also family-friendly activities in the children’s area, making it a festival for all ages.
