Travel to Estonia via the Matka Travel Fair!

Estonia and the Baltic Guide magazine will once again be well represented at the Matka 2026 Travel Fair in Helsinki, held from 15–18 January at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre. On the public days, from Friday to Sunday, we will be handing out magazines and sharing the editorial team’s experiences of travelling around and living in different parts of Estonia at Visit Estonia’s joint stand 6d50 in the main exhibition hall.

This time as well, dozens of representatives from Estonia’s various tourism regions and cities, hotels and spa resorts, attractions, and tourism service providers will be present at the fair. You can read more information here, and you’ll easily find the stands located close to one another by heading towards the large Estonian pine forest landscape installation suspended from the ceiling near the central aisle of the main hall.

Estonia is also featured daily in the event’s stage programme. On Friday, the themes of the presentations and interviews are Tallinn at 12:30, and golf at 15:00. On Saturday, the first to speak are the caravanners. At 10:30 on the stage of the simultaneously held Caravan 2026 event in the Messukeskus, campsite entrepreneur Markku Lehtonen from Haapsalu will talk more broadly about the Baltic countries.

Saturday’s themes on the Matkamessut Inspiration Stage are Estonian gardens and manors, culture, and wellness at 12:00, Eastern Estonia through Henna Mikkilä’s eyes at 15:00, and cycling tourism and travelling with pets at 16:30. Sunday’s topics are caravanners at 11:00, Saaremaa and sailing across the Gulf of Finland at 12:00, family-friendly activities and destinations at 14:00, and at the Travel Stories stage, Rummu Quarry and the prison museum at 16:30.

Thursday, 15 January, is reserved exclusively for pre-registered tourism industry professionals.

See you at the fair!
