Exciting events in Estonia this week

10–12 June, Estonian Fashion Festival, Viljandi and Tartu
Estonia’s largest annual event dedicated to sustainable fashion and responsible consumption. The Wednesday fashion show in Viljandi highlights traditional craftsmanship techniques and cultural identity, while the Tartu shows focus on artistic expression, environmentally conscious design and body positivity. The programme also includes seminars, workshops and the Sustainability Award ceremony.
11–14 June, Stencibility Street Art Festival, Tartu
European and Estonian mural, stencil, poster and sticker artists gather in Tartu to exchange ideas and create colourful street art in the urban environment, using locations voluntarily made available for the purpose. Guided tours are organised throughout the festival, but visitors can also explore the artworks independently using a well-designed online map while walking around the city.
11–14 June, Nordic Kite Fest, Pärnu
One of the most anticipated events of the summer for kitesurfing enthusiasts, bringing hobbyists and top riders to Pärnu Beach to compete, share knowledge with beginners and showcase the sport to the public. DJs help create a friendly and communal atmosphere, while evening afterparties feature live performers such as Reket and Lexsoul Dancemachine.
12 June, Night Run Estonia, Rakvere
This cheerful urban running event attracts thousands of fitness enthusiasts to Rakvere, with participants setting off only after dusk. Distances include a half marathon as well as 10 km and 5 km routes, the latter attracting many runners in carnival costumes each year. A couple of hours before the main event, Viking Line mascot Ville Viking encourages children to take part in a 300-metre run.
12–13 June, Grillfest Food Festival, Pärnu
This major celebration of flavours features delicacies from more than 300 producers, street food vendors, pop-up cafés, professional grill masters and amateur barbecue enthusiasts. There is even a dedicated restaurant for four-legged visitors. The programme also includes cooking competitions, a marketplace, live music, a children’s play area and two fireworks displays to conclude the evenings.
12–14 June, Harmonica Festival, Pärnu / Haapsalu / Tallinn
The largest gathering and competition for harmonica players in the Nordic and Baltic countries. Saturday’s programme in Pärnu includes performance and technique competitions, a gala concert featuring world-class harmonica stars and an evening dance event. Additional festival concerts take place in Haapsalu on Friday and Tallinn on Sunday. A blues jam session will also be held in Pärnu on Friday evening.
13 June, Virumaa Café Day, Ida-Virumaa
Cafés, café-restaurants and private food enthusiasts across Ida-Virumaa open their doors and garden gates from 11:00 to 18:00 to serve locally produced food, drinks and sweet treats. Information about participating venues and their locations is available via the Navicup map platform.
13 June, Kihnu Sauna Festival, Kihnu
For the seventh time, the people of Kihnu transform their island and home gardens into a sauna island. The participation fee includes a map of saunas where hosts welcome visitors for five hours of sauna bathing. In the evening, Kurase Bar hosts the afterparty with music from the Pärnu band Härra Kuu.
13 June, Mulliga & Mullita Festival, Tallinn
Held on Pirita Road in the grounds of Maarjamäe Palace and the Estonian Film Museum, this event combines an entertainment concert running from afternoon until nearly midnight with tastings of sparkling and non-sparkling beverages. Visitors can also enjoy snacks and more substantial meals, attend professional champagne training sessions and relax in a laid-back summer atmosphere.
13–14 June, Sidecar Motocross and Quad Racing, Karksi-Nuia
The world’s leading sidecar motocross and ATV riders gather in the Mulgimaa region of Southern Estonia at the Karksi-Nuia Motorsport Centre for a round of their respective world championship series. Following Saturday’s races, the evening continues with a concert featuring Traffic and PätiKiisud.
