A Photo Exhibition Turning Eyes to the Sky
Text Susanna Poikela

This autumn, Fotografiska Tallinn is turning its gaze to the stars as it opens a major exhibition titled “KOSMOS—A Visual Journey”. The exhibition captures the vastness of the universe through the interpretations of astronomers and artists alike.
It features 14 international artists, including Finnish artist Petri Eskelinen, and Estonian artist Ivar Veermäe. The works combine research, visual expression, and creative technology. The exhibition includes striking projections, large-scale displays, and installations built specifically for this show.
“KOSMOS” is Fotografiska’s most technically ambitious exhibition to date. It offers thought-provoking experiences for visitors of all ages, and invites reflection on profound questions, such as: Who are we in this endless universe? And who has the right to dream about the future? The exhibition also features an AI-based “Reflection Station” that poses age-appropriate questions for visitors to consider.
The exhibition opens with a cosmic celebration on September 12—you can register here.
The exhibition itself runs until 18 January. More information can be found here.
