Narva FolkFest 2026

Narva FolkFest 2026 is a one-day cultural and folk music festival taking place in Narva, Estonia, showcasing traditional folk culture through music, dance, and community performances. The cultures of Viru Counties and the Setu people are featured. The event is organised at the Rugodiv Cultural Centre at Aleksander Puskini 8 in Narva, a well-known cultural venue in the city, on 23 May from noon until 20:00.

Narva FolkFest is designed as a public celebration of folk traditions, bringing together performers, ensembles, and audiences in a shared cultural experience. The overall event will include folk music performances from ensembles and solo acts, traditional dance presentations, and opportunities for the audience to engage with various folk traditions. The programme is family-friendly, encouraging participation for all ages and cultural backgrounds.

The Rugodiv Cultural Centre is the host venue, and is one of Narva’s main cultural institutions. Located right in the city centre, it’s frequently used for concerts, theatrical events, and much more. The indoor setting means the event will happen regardless of the weather.

Setu culture is that of a unique people in Europe whose primary locale is in Southeastern Estonia. Long-celebrated as a branch of local cultures, Narva FolkFest is a unique opportunity to get to know this culture outside of their own area.

More information about the event is available in Estonian here.
