Cinemania—A Voyage of Film Through All the Senses

Cinemania is the newest revue show by the Estonian Dance Agency’s Starlight Cabaret. A revue show features music, dance, and comedy centred around a specific theme. Audiences are invited to a vivid and glamorous world inspired by cinema’s most iconic emotions, melodies, and stories. Designed as a luxurious theatrical journey, the show blends the enchantment of classic film romances, the thrill of cinematic drama, and the sparkle of contemporary stage artistry. Although the audience will likely recognise the songs and themes referenced throughout the evening, Cinemania promises a completely new experience—a “movie” no one has seen before, reimagined through music, dance, and cabaret-style spectacle.

The performance features the distinguished cast of Starlight Cabaret’s celebrated artists. Soloists include beloved performers Kärt Anton or Ketter Orav, Kalle Sepp or Bert Pringi, and the unforgettable Ira Haak. Supported by the company’s dancers and creative team, the show unfolds as a sequence of visually rich scenes that evoke the atmosphere, storytelling, and emotional palette of classic and contemporary cinema. The revue format allows for quick transitions from heartfelt romance to intense drama and playful fantasy, giving the evening an energetic rhythm and a sense of continuous discovery.

But this isn’t just a cabaret night: the venue, the Merineitsi Restaurant at the Original Sokos Hotel Viru, offers a refined culinary programme designed to complement the atmosphere of the show. The chef de cuisine presents an à la carte menu crafted specially for the revue evenings, and the dishes are paired with a wine selection assembled by some of Estonia’s top sommeliers. The event is therefore conceived not only as a theatrical performance, but also as an evening of fine dining.
