AC/DC Is Back in Black

AC/DC is a rock legend whose music is known more or less to everyone, even if they are not fans of it. If you’ve seen a movie, you’ve probably heard one of their songs. If you’ve listened to the radio, you’ve likely been exposed to their unique style of hard rock. If you have good taste, you definitely know the lyrics to at least one of their tracks. Now the band’s “Power Up” tour brings them back to Europe, in black.

For the first time ever, AC/DC will rock Tallinn’s Song Festival Grounds on 24 July. Concerts in Estonia don’t get much bigger than this, at least not with foreign artists. Tickets close to the stage are sold out, but there are still general admission tickets available. Fans can purchase four tickets per transaction. This concert is the only concert in this region of Europe, and precludes the band’s upcoming US stadium tour.

AC/DC formed in Australia in 1973…52 years ago! That’s right, they have been superstars for over half a century. Their hits include “Thunderstruck”, “Highway to Hell”, “Whole Lotta Rosie”, and so many more. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003, their album “Back in Black” was the second best-selling album of all time, and the band have released a total of 17 studio albums. Interestingly enough, while the band’s name, AC/DC, is reflective of the raw power of their music, the name actually came from the plug of a sewing machine.

AC/DC current lineup, including famed vocalist Brian Johnson, could very well retire in the coming years, so this is likely the only time the band will visit Estonia. It’s an opportunity you won’t want to miss.

Tickets are available here.
