One of Estonia’s oldest music events, the Rapla Church Music Festival, will once again be held in Rapla from 10 to 27 July. The 33rd edition of the festival will bring together internationally renowned musicians and ensembles to perform in several churches in the area.
The festival will feature performances by the Baroque Orchestra Barrocada, the Arvo Pärt Jubilee String Quartet Camerata Musica, and Italian baritone Marco Camastra. The chamber music concerts and opera gala attract large audiences to Rapla, which is located just an hour’s drive from Tallinn. The festival’s artistic director is Pille Lill.
The concerts will be held on nine evenings in various parts of Rapla County. A festival pass can be purchased from the Piletilevi ticket office for €90 or €60 or at the door before the concert for €10–25. The full programme can be viewed at raplafestival.ee. Up-to-date information can also be found on the festival’s Facebook page.
