19 Oct 2024–11 Jan 2026 Famous Sea Voyages Exhibition, Tallinn
The Seaplane Harbour, the recently renovated and magnificent maritime museum known in Estonian as Lennusadam, invites everyone to explore a new exhibition that tells the story of many of the great explorations and famous sea voyages of maritime history. The exhibition is built around stories and objects, the largest of which is a restored ship model obtained from the French National Maritime Museum.
1 Nov 2024–31 Dec 2025 Invisible City Exhibition, Tartu
The exhibition delves into Tartu’s medieval past, presenting the origins of the city, and the lives of its early inhabitants. It features city models, including the first ever virtual reconstruction of Tartu in the 13th century. Visitors will also be able to see archaeological finds and an exact copy of the oldest surviving city model, from 1686.
6 Mar–20 Apr Metslased photographic art exhibition, Pärnu
Alone we are trees, but together we are a forest,” the late Estonian president and folklorist Lennart Meri once said. Three photographers—Hendrik Relve, Kaupo Kikkas, and Mark Soosaar—reflect on trees, forests, and people’s relationship with them in their photographs. The authors have recorded trees, forests, and boulevards over the decades, and some of the photographed objects no longer even exist. The Metslased photographic art exhibition is on display at the Pärnu Museum of Contemporary Art.
6 Mar–30 Apr Toila 18+ Wellness Centre + VR journey into history, Toila
VR Toila 1938 III is a journey through time to Oru Castle, located in Toila Park but destroyed in the war, where the late Estonian president Konstantin Päts spent a lot of time. On the VR tour, you will get to know the castle’s interior and staff. The same package also includes access to the 18+ Wellness Centre of Toila Spa, where you can use five saunas, three swimming pools, a sun stimulator, and other spa pools and services. This offer is valid until the end of April.
13–23 Mar Verdi’s opera “Giovanna d’Arco”, Tallinn
Who doesn’t know the story of the brave Joan of Arc, the French teenage saint, how the young girl saw divine visions, rose to become the leader of the French army, won battles, but was eventually put before the Inquisition and burned at the stake? Verdi’s dramatic opera “Giovanna d’Arco” comes to life on the stage of the Estonian National Opera in Tallinn.
15, 17, 19 Mar The Giuseppe Verdi String Orchestra, Narva, Tartu, Jõhvi, Tallinn
The Giuseppe Verdi String Orchestra will be coming to Estonia on a concert tour. The concerts will feature the most beloved works by Italian composers, including Vivaldi, Verdi, Rossini, and many other masters. The orchestra will be led by conductor Fabrizio Ficiur.
19 Mar Cross-country skiing World Cup, Tallinn
The FIS Cross-Country Skiing World Cup will be held at the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds. The freestyle sprint competition of the FIS Cross-Country Skiing World Cup will bring the world’s top athletes to Estonia. The competition will be held for valuable points on 1500-meter and 52-meter courses.
20 Mar Piaf! The Show—Edith Piaf 110, Tallinn
Piaf! The Show celebrates the 110th birthday of French singer Edith Piaf. The show intertwines the singer’s life story with her unforgettable, timeless songs, now known all over the world. The concert will be held at the Alexela Concert Hall.
20–21 Mar Tallinn Fashion Week, Tallinn
Tallinn will be the centre of Nordic and Baltic fashion for two days. Estonian fashion has gained worldwide fame in recent years thanks to its talented designers, who have been diligently exporting Estonian fashion to the world. The event will feature fashion shows, sales events, and the prestigious Golden Needle award for Fashion Designer of the Year.
22–23 Mar VI Japanese Culture Days, Tallinn
Japanese culture is presented in Tallinn’s ARS Art Quarter (ARS Kunstilinnak). The programme includes various workshops, where students will study language and dance, as well as learn how to prepare Japanese food and art, such as the famous origami and sashiko. The event will also discuss the Japanese concept of happiness, and how to embrace and manifest it in life. Children can enjoy traditional Japanese games.
