22.11–27.12 Tallinn Christmas Market, Town Hall Square, Tallinn

Tallinn Christmas Market offers over 60 stalls selling handcrafted gifts, sweets, and winter essentials, alongside food vendors serving traditional Estonian holiday dishes. Visitors can enjoy free live music and dance performances, while children can explore a play area with carousels and meet Santa in his grotto.

 

25.11–15.12 Christmas Jazz, Pärnu, Tallinn, Tartu, Viljandi

This year’s Christmas Jazz Festival includes 18 concerts across Estonia. Performers include Rita Ray (Estonia), Veronica Swift (USA), Alfredo Rodríguez (Cuba), Lady Blackbird (USA), and Oleg Pissarenko (Estonia).

 

29.11–24.12 Balti Jaam Christmas market, Tallinn

In Kalamaja, the outdoor area of the Balti Jaam Market becomes a festive destination where visitors can enjoy warm drinks, seasonal treats, gift shopping, and traditional Estonian Christmas dishes. The market will also feature street food from around the world.

 

30.11.2024–05.01.2025 Christmas City, Town Hall Square, Tartu

Tartu’s annual Christmas celebrations open alongside the closing events of its year as the European Capital of Culture 2024. The market features handmade crafts, food stalls, mulled wine, and an ice rink.

 

01–29.12 Fairytale Courtyards, Old Town, Tallinn

Tallinn’s Old Town will transform into a festive wonderland with fairy-tale-inspired courtyards, light displays, and more. Visitors can explore medieval streets illuminated with sparkling decorations, iconic towers, and a growing light park at Freedom Square. Beloved fairy tales and Estonian folklore will come to life through captivating installations, while Christmas cribs crafted by locals add a timeless touch to the holiday atmosphere.

 

01.12.2024–01.01.2025 Christmasland in Iglupark, Tallinn

At Noblessner Harbour, Iglupark will host a Christmas-themed event. Visitors can enjoy seasonal food, warm drinks, activities for all ages, and relaxing sauna experiences among countless Christmas trees.

 

01.12.2024–04.01.2025 Christmas Wonderland, Torma Manor, Jõgeva County

The Winter Village is a magical Christmas destination featuring attractions like Santa Claus’s glamorous manor, an animal sculpture park, along with festive train rides. There are activities for families, schools, and groups, including crafting workshops, Santa’s post office, and themed events like the “Sweet Candy Rally.”

 

03.12.2024–05.01.2025 Gingerbread Mania exhibition, Gallery of Design and Architecture, Tallinn

The event combines art and tradition through an exhibition of creative gingerbread designs crafted by artists and designers. Visitors can explore intricate gingerbread sculptures and participate in workshops to bake and decorate their own unique creations.

 

05–08.12 Vienna Philharmonic Strauss Orchestra, Jõhvi, Pärnu, Tallinn, Tartu

The concert series, dedicated to string instruments, will include performances by Meta4 (Finland), violinist Henning Kraggerud (Norway), violinist Katariina Maria Kits-Reimal and cellist Marcel Johannes Kits (Estonia), as well as the Double Sens ensemble led by Serbian violinist Nemanja Radulović.

 

07.12 Winter Night Run, Narva

Narva’s Winter Night Run invites participants of all fitness levels. The event includes a 200m race for children, 5km and 10km timed runs for adults, and untimed runs of 2.5km and 7.5km. Costumes adds a festive twist, and there is an option for virtual participation.
