Agnes Cecile Art Exhibition Opens at Victoria Olt Gallery in Tallinn

Today, July 6, an new exhibition by renowned Italian artist Agnes Cecile will open at the Victoria Olt Gallery in Tallinn’s old town. The exhibition, titled “Onirica,” will showcase a collection of watercolour works that explore the artist’s perspective on the blending of reality and the dreamlike world. The exhibition will remain open to visitors until August 31, 2024.

“Onirica,” which means “dreamlike” in Italian, invites visitors to explore a world of dreams. Each piece is a fusion of the artist’s reality and her dreamlike perception, creating an atmosphere that oscillates between sweet melancholy and darker, restless visuals. Upon entering the exhibition, visitors will find themselves immersed in a setting where characters depicted in the artworks whisper various stories, offering hints to delve deeper into this dreamlike world.

Agnes Cecile, whose real name is Silvia Pelissero, was born in Rome, Italy, in 1991. She began drawing as a child and published her first watercolour paintings online under the name “agnes-cecile.” After graduating from art high school, she continued to pursue her passion, experimenting with various painting techniques and discovering how to express herself through images. Her art has gained significant popularity on social media, allowing her to reach a wider audience worldwide. Agnes Cecile’s layered and beautiful watercolour works create rich and emotional portraits, combining simple images with abstract colours and details.

In addition to several solo exhibitions in Rome, Agnes Cecile has participated in various events, conducted workshops, and collaborated in different parts of the world, including the USA, Canada, and across Europe. In 2018, she published her first art book, a compilation of ten years of work. Agnes Cecile and gallery owner Victoria Olt will also be conducting a joint watercolour workshop in Tallinn this July, which has already sold out.

The exhibition at the Victoria Olt Gallery (Viru 20, Tallinn) will be open daily from 11 am to 7 p until June 30, with free admission.
