London Community Gospel Choir to perform in Estonia tonight

The world-renowned London Community Gospel Choir will perform at Viimsi Artium on the outskirts of Tallinn this evening, December 18. The group has among other things performed at the Queen’s Golden Jubilee to an audience of 1 billion, as well as collaborated with top artists such as Elton John and Gregory Porter.

London Community Gospel Choir, founded in 1982 by Reverand Bazil Meade, has evolved over the past four decades into one of the world’s most famous choirs. They have blessed stages as big as Wembley Stadium and the Grammys. They were even recognised by Guinness World Records, when they bought 30 choirs from around the world together to break the record for the world’s largest mass gospel choir.

However, a crowning achievement came on June 2, 2022, when Buckingham Palace invited the choir to perform for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The choir, along with Gregory Porter, presented the official song, “A Life Lived with Grace,” and later led the National Anthem. Witnessed by nearly 1 billion viewers worldwide, this historic moment marked the pinnacle of the choir’s illustrious journey.

Beyond their royal performance, the choir has collaborated with icons like Elton John, contributing to films such as The Lion King. Currently recording their highly anticipated next album, the choir aims to spread messages of peace, love, and justice, providing a beacon of hope during challenging times.

Tickets for tonight’s concert at Viimsi Artium are sold out.
