The Estonian Museum of Applied Art and Design is celebrating its birthday tomorrow with free admission and ice cream

The Estonian Museum of Applied Art and Design (ETDM) will celebrate its birthday tomorrow (July 17), with free admission to the museum. Guests will also be treated to Regatt ice cream and free workshops for both adults and children that will be organized in the museum and on the museum grounds.

From 12 to 3 pm, you can join Anu Samarüütel’s fabric printing workshop every hour, where everyone can make a fabric bag with a pattern designed by themselves. The museum has workshops and games for children that you can participate in all day.

ETDM was opened in 1980 at the time of the sailing regatta of the Moscow Olympics, which was organized in Tallinn. At the same time, Regatt ice cream was also born in Estonia. This ice cream has become the museum’s traditional birthday treat.

The museum and the museum shop are open on their birthday as usual from 11 am to 6 pm. The Estonian Museum of Applied Art and Design is located in Tallinn’s old town, at Lai 17.

The museum’s exhibitions are open for free all day.
