The Türi Apple Festival and Autumn Fair will take place this Saturday, September 7, from 9 am to 3 pm at the Türi Cultural Centre and Central Park. This cherished annual event combines a traditional autumn fair with a celebration of apples.
Visitors will have the opportunity to participate in competitions showcasing apple preserves and apple-based desserts. For the apple preserve contest, participants are invited to submit their creations, whether savoury or sweet, with a minimum quantity of 0.5 litres. Each entry should be accompanied by a recipe and the maker’s details, enclosed in a sealed envelope. Similarly, the apple dessert competition calls for desserts where apples are the main ingredient.
In addition to the competitions, the festival will feature a diverse cultural and sports programme. This includes contributions from various local organisations, such as Türi Library, Türi Youth Centre, Türi Sports Clubs Union, Türi Cultural Centre, Türi Creative House, Türi Family Centre, and the Türi Orchestra. There will also be live music from the Gerli Padar Duo.
