Tallinn’s annual spring Fashion Week begins today. The two-day event (April 18-19) will bring fresh seasonal fashion trends and timeless designs from recognised fashion designers and beloved domestic brands.
The event, which is a precursor to the main Tallinn Fashion Week that takes place each autumn, will take place at the Kalev Spa Hotel in the city. The venue adding an interesting twist to the festivities.
This is because a runway has been set up on the water of the swimming pool. This watery theme has been the inspiration for the collections of several designers. For example, Siret Design’s embroidered and pastel collection by Aldo Järvsoo, which is an underwater wonderland filled with mystical creatures and aquatic plants. Well-respected Estonian brand Mammu Couture, will also be celebrating its 10th birthday at the fashion week.
Here is the full programme for the spring fashion week:
Thursday, April 18:
17.30 Riina Põldroos, Ketlin Bachmann, Aldo Järvsoo
