Tallinn Music Week to bring industry leaders to the cityHaydn Bendall ja Scumeck Sabottka

Tallinn Music Week (TMW) has announced the first speakers for its conference, which will take place on April 4 to 5 at Nordic Hotel Forum. Among the speakers are Rammstein’s European promoter and founder of MCT Agentur, Scumeck Sabottka, as well as Grammy-winning sound engineer Haydn Bendall.

The TMW conference will welcome nearly 1,300 music professionals, with over 100 leading experts from around the world sharing insights. One of the most anticipated speakers is Scumeck Sabottka, a legendary figure in the music industry and the promoter behind acts such as Radiohead, Tom Waits, Björk, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Blur. His agency, MCT Agentur, recently signed a deal with global entertainment giant AEG Presents. At TMW, he will discuss this new partnership and his experiences working with world-famous artists.

Haydn Bendall, an award-winning sound engineer, producer, and musician, will share stories from his time at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, where he has worked with Paul McCartney, Kate Bush, and XTC. He has also contributed to film scores, including Brazil by Terry Gilliam and the soundtrack for Twin Peaks by David Lynch.

Other confirmed speakers include Anna van Nunen (CEO of ESNS, Europe’s leading music festival), Jonathan Bunce (founder of Wavelength), Brit Randma (manager of Music Moves Europe award-winning band Night Tapes), Eva Palm (Live Nation Entertainment Baltics’ head promoter), and Kertu Mägar (CEO of FAAR Music). Folk artist Mari Kalkun, Music Finland’s innovation and development manager Turo Pekari, and Ruth Daniels, director of In Place of War.

Further notable names include Peiti Huang (Taiwan World Music Festival programme director), Patryk Galuszka (assistant professor at the University of Łódź), Kees van Weijen (IMPALA board member), Colette Tibbets (senior expert at LvlUp Ventures), and Elise Hessevik (CEO of Norwegian music company Buzz).
