For the 21st time, the Tallinn Guitar Festival will take place from 7–12 June at several venues across Tallinn. Founded in 2006, the festival is dedicated to guitar music in a variety of styles, and presents internationally recognised performers as well as emerging talent. The festival’s founder and artistic director is Estonian guitarist Tiit Peterson.

The 2026 programme consists of five main concerts, and a special showcase of young Estonian musicians. Performances will be held in some of Tallinn’s most well-known cultural venues, including Kadriorg Palace, Kiek in de Kök, the House of the Blackheads, the MUBA Concert Hall, and the Kumu Auditorium.

The festival opens on 7 June at Kadriorg Palace with guitarist Harald Trass, who placed second in the Estonian television competition “Klassikatähed 2025”, or “Stars of Classical” in English. On 8 June, Finnish lutenist and guitarist Mikko Ikäheimo will perform a programme of lute music at Kiek in de Kök. The following evening, the House of the Blackheads will host the Goni & Perretta Duo, featuring Greek guitarist Antigoni Goni and Italian guitarist Eleonora Perretta.

On 10 June, Spanish mezzo-soprano Nerea Berraondo and guitarist Alberto Plaza will present a programme of Spanish songs at Kadriorg Palace. Earlier that day, MUBA will host a free concert featuring young Estonian guitar talents. The festival concludes on 12 June at the Kumu Auditorium with “Playing Love”, a concert of Italian film music performed by guitarist Claudio Farinone and accordionist Fausto Beccalossi.
