An exhibition focusing on the works of Peter Lindbergh has opened at Fotografiska in Tallinn. The exhibition, entitled “The Lightness of Being” consists of works taken throughout the career of one of the world’s most influential photographers.
Peter Lindbergh (1944–2019) produced numerous covers for fashion and lifestyle magazines. 90s supermodels such as Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Christy Turlington rose to prominence thanks to Lindbergh’s photographs.
A recurring theme in the works of the master of black-and-white photographer was the body, dance, and movement, and his genius was revealed in his ability to condense the narrative into a single image.
The exhibition, which is curated by the Peter Lindbergh Foundation, has been made in collaboration with Fotografiska Sweden.
“The Lightness of Being” will remain on display at Fotografiska in Tallinn until June 2024.
