Tallinn’s streets will once again fill with athletes as the annual Swedbank Marathon takes place in the city. This sporting event draws a massive number of participants and is Estonia’s largest international running event in terms of runner turnout.
Participants can choose from races of varying lengths. The shorter 10 km Autumn Run is perfect for those who enjoy lighter exercise, and for groups looking to spend an active day together. The 21.1 km half marathon is ideal for beginner marathoners, while the classic 42.2 km full marathon is designed for passionate running enthusiasts. There are also dedicated races for youth and children.
If you want to join in on the opening festivities in your running shoes, take part in the Welcome Run on 12 September. It takes place in the beautiful Kadriorg Park, and the entry fee for the 2.6 km run is just €12. You can register for the opening run here.
The marathon’s competition centre and start/finish area are located right next to Tallinn’s Old Town. The race route winds through various parts of the city, offering runners beautiful and diverse scenery.
Explore the full event schedule here, and take part with your family and friends!
