Robotics Days at PROTO Invention Factory

Tallinn’s PROTO Invention Factory is a fun, educational and interactive museum where children and families alike can learn all about science. From 19 September until 4 October, they’re celebrating “Robotics Days”, where youngsters interested in robotics, engineering, and technology in general can learn. There will also be two special workshops.

The idea behind Robotics Days is to bring technology hobby schools and robotics together. Children who attend and are interested in a specific field of technology are welcome to join these hobby clubs. Participating schools and clubs include the Tallinn University of Applied Sciences, Robopesa, Techno TLN, and more.

On two weekends, there will be special workshops. The first will be on 19–20 September, where visitors can learn all about building wind-powered cars. The second workshop will be on 3–4 October, and the theme will be building air rockets, and what exactly makes one rocket fly farther than another.

More information is available here on PROTO’s website. You can buy a ticket at the door, or get free entry with a Tallinn Card or a Museum Card.

One thing that makes PROTO Invention Factory so popular is its use of virtual reality. There are exhibits that show you what it’s like to fly, drive unusual vehicles, and much more. There is a full restaurant/café on site as well, and the surrounding area of Noblessner has a lot to offer as well for an entire day of education, entertainment, and overall fun for the family.
