Nomadic life is a calling for many people, especially in the warmer months. Recreational vehicles, campervans, motor homes, truck trailers, travel trailers…there are so many different kinds of traveling homes enthusiasts can choose from. On 5 September in the parking lot at Ankru 10 in Tallinn—right next door to Põhjala tehas, the Bohemian community—come check out the Campervan Festival 2026! Lots of people will be showing off their homemade or self-improved traveling homes.
Starting at 14:30 on 5 September until 17:00, there will be various people giving talks about their own experiences, inspirations, and ideas about how they pimped out their rides. Subjects range from building your own van, vanlife with a baby, taking an SUV and trailer to the Balkans, and more. Guests can listen to these individual talks, or just feel free to wander around looking at all the different vehicles at the exhibition.
At the end of the day, guests will have the chance to vote for their favourite traveling homes. There will also be street food from food trucks. And yes, there’s a good chance these food trucks themselves were improved or even built by their operators, so you’ll get a unique chance to see the difference between a professional mobile kitchen, versus a hobby mobile kitchen.
Entrance is a symbolic €5, and free for pensioners and kids under 12. More information is available here.
