Grammy-winning jazz quartet Yellowjackets to perform in Tallinn

Legendary US jazz fusion band the Yellowjackets are set to perform at Viimsi Artium in Tallinn on May 13. The two-time Grammy-winning band will be visiting Estonia as part of their European Tour.
Formed in the late 1970s the Yellowjackets have evolved into a powerhouse quartet comprising of Russell Ferrante, Jimmy Haslip, Bob Mintzer, and their newest member, Australian bassist Dane Alderson.
To date, the band, who’s sound innovatively fuses jazz and contemporary sounds, have 25 studio albums to their name, as well as 17 Grammy nominations, and 2 wins. Their latest album, “Parallel Motion,” earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Jazz Instrumental Album in 2023. The album features nine original tracks and features a collaboration with four-time Grammy nominee Jean Baylor.
The concert at Viimsi Artium on May 13 will also be the start point for the band’s European Tour. Tickets for the concert, which will begin at 7 pm, are available at Piletikeskus.
