Exhibition: The colour of the year is diverse

Colours have power both individually and together, it’s all about combination and harmony. Bright and muted, intense and subdued, the choice between opposites is always different. This is also the case for the artists participating in the new joint exhibition of the Estonian Textile Artists’ Association. The variety of combinations in the exhibition entitled The Colour of the Year is Diverse stimulates visitors sense of sight to perceive endless combinations of colours and shapes. The exhibition is curated by Aet Ollisaar.

The annual exhibition of the Estonian Textile Artists’ Association, which has become a tradition, is a welcome event for both the participants themselves and the public. The Museum of New Art’s annual exhibition will also feature works by 2023 award-winning textile artists. Aet Ollisaar was awarded Textile Artist of the Year 2023, Maria Kristiin Peterson was Young Textile Artist of the Year 2023 and Maryliis Teinfeldt-Grins‘ community project Who remembers last? Who remembers best? Kadi Pajupuu was awarded the Special Jury Prize for her long-term and consistent research and development of textile art.

More information is available at the official webpage of The Museum of New Art.
