9 May–10 Aug Ukrainian Art Festival. Pavlo Mazai—Essays, Tallinn

Ukrainian Pavlo Mazai‘s photography exhibition combines essay-like expression and photography. The exhibition is part of the Ukrainian art festival UKUfest, which is now being held in Tallinn for the first time.

 

25–28 May Alice in Wonderland, Tallinn

On the stage of Estonian Theatre for Young Audiences (Eesti Noorsooteater), a classic fairy tale comes to life as an enchanting theatrical experience, where visuals, humour, and symbolism intertwine into a fascinating adventure. This play is suitable for theater lovers over the age of seven. The story is familiar and visual, so it is easy to follow, even if you do not know Estonian.

 

28 May–3 June Life Dances for Eternity, Tallinn

The choreography of the dance series will be brought to the stage, where life will be reflected in the circle of life. The dance performance will be held in St Anthony’s Chapel of the St Nicholas Church, where the famous Dance of Death painting will be on display.

 

29 May–1 June Nordic Kite Fest, Pärnu

The international windsurfing event organised on Pärnu beach brings together athletes and fans alike. The event offers a festival atmosphere for the whole family.

 

30–31 May Italian Wine Festival, Haapsalu

The two-day wine festival will feature Italian wines, food, and music in Haapsalu’s historic castle.

 

30 May–1 June Summer Opening Party, Märjamaa and Põlva

Summer will kick off with lively concerts where you can enjoy Estonian pop music and a festive atmosphere. Performing artists include Shanon, and Hellad Velled.

 

31 May Hortus Musicus concert, Tallinn

Hortus Musicus, a leading early music ensemble in Estonia, has been operating for over 50 years. In this concert, the ensemble will perform Christian prayer and praise music from the Renaissance.

 

31 May Hiking Festival, Aegviidu

The Aegviidu Hiking Festival invites hikers and nature-lovers together for one day. There will be short day hikes and a programme related to nature and hiking. In the evening, the audience will be entertained by the popular band Curly Strings. 

 

31 May Italian Music Festivali, Haapsalu

Lovers of Italian music can expect a concert by the legendary Umberto Tozzi, a farewell concert for the musician and songwriter who has had a career spanning over 50 years. Pop artist Nek will also take the stage. He rose to fame in 1993 at the San Remo Song Contest with the song “In Te”.

 

1–30 June Saaremaa Peony Festival, Pärni village

The Peony Festival is the largest festival dedicated to peonies in Europe. It is held during the peony flowering season. The best time to visit the flower show is usually mid-June.
