Eduard Zentšik Art Exhibition in Tallinn

The art exhibition of painter Eduard Zentšik will remain open for one more week at Tallinn’s Sarle Art Gallery and Studio. His works have been described as visual poetry, filled with mystery, symbolism, and allegory. The pieces move on the border between Renaissance and contemporary art, showing the use of a classical brushstroke. The exhibition opens the door to the artist’s poetic and multidimensional world.

Located at Aia 17, the Sarle Art Gallery and Studio was formerly known as Tauno Kangro’s gallery. The new gallerist is Svetlana Sarle. In 2025, the gallery’s curator is the Narva-born artist Tatjana Sonina.

Eduard Zentšik is an Estonian contemporary artist who breaks boundaries, blending the local with the global in his work. He plays with and breaks the rules of art, constructing an ironic yet serious façade that challenges the viewer’s expectations. Zentšik’s work contains both humour and mysticism.

The label “Unknown Artist Zentšik” does not hold true in Eastern Estonia, where he is a highly recognised artist. Zentšik has participated in numerous exhibitions, supported young artists, and actively promoted the visibility of Estonian contemporary art. He is also a photographer, sculptor, and creator of installations.

Over the years, Eduard Zentšik has held more than a hundred solo exhibitions, and participated in many group projects. His works are in private collections around the world. Eduard Zentšik is a member of the Estonian Artists Association.
