Famous Estonian singer and songwriter Jaan Tätte turns 60 this year. To mark this milestone, the performer will perform no less than 11 concerts all around Estonia this April.
In Estonia, Tätte is known as a playwright, actor, theatre director, songwriter, and singer. Tätte has also sailed around the world with actor Marko Matvere.
Jaan Tätte’s songs tell stories about the life and nature of an ordinary person. The lyrics and melodies are popular, even childish, and therefore loved. They calm you down, make you laugh, and make you think about the meaning of life. For example, one of Tätte’s most beautiful songs is Ilus Hetk (Beautiful Moment in English).
In honor of his anniversary year, Tätte will give concerts all over Estonia from April 4 to 27 in Rakvere, Mooste, Rapla, Viljandi, Vihula, In Tartu, Laitse, Kuresaari, Kärdla, Tallinn, and Pärnu.
“Every person has their own story – how they got to this moment, where they are now. In my concert, I will tell you my own story through funny events and songs that have followed my life,” shared Jaan Tätte.
Vilsandi has been Jaan Tätte’s home island for years. The small island located on the west side of Saaremaa offers exactly what is obviously important to Tätte through his songs – nature, peace, and home.
