A snow city will soon open in Tallinn’s Freedom Square
Text and photo Susanna Poikela
The Tallinn city council and VIVITA are organising a winter party for young residents in the middle of the city. This winter, the Freedom Square snow city, which will be designed by children, will be built for the very first time. Of course, there will be plenty of fun play areas inside the snow town.
The construction of the snow city will take place in Freedom Square in the centre of Tallinn under the guidance of VIVITA instructors on January 17 and 18 from 12 noon to 5 pm. All children are welcome to come and build a snow castle.
The finished snow city will then be ready to await visitors from January 18 to 25. Although warmer weather conditions may change this schedule somewhat.
The opening ceremony of the snow city in Tallinn’s Freedom Square is on January 18 at 6 pm.
