Estonian Fashion Festival 2026

The Estonian Fashion Festival is Estonia’s largest annual event dedicated to sustainable fashion. This year it will take place from 10–12 June in both Viljandi and Tartu. As recent years have seen a surge in interest in the environmental impacts of the fashion industry, this year’s festival will focus on Estonian designers who incorporate sustainable practices into their work while promoting more conscious approaches to fashion consumption and production by bringing together designers, fashion professionals, students, and audiences interested in environmentally responsible fashion and design.

The Estonian Fashion Festival’s main programme consists of three distinctive fashion shows, each presenting a different perspective on contemporary fashion. The first is OmaMood, held in Viljandi on 10 June, and will explore heritage, craftsmanship, and cultural identity through collections inspired by traditional techniques and local culture. The second, Mood-Performance-Tants, takes place on 11 June in Tartu’s St. John’s Church, and combines fashion, performance, and movement in an immersive artistic experience. The Antonius Fashion Show, held on 12 June at the Estonian National Museum, or ERM, will be the third fashion show, focusing on wearable designer fashion that values inclusivity, body positivity, and environmentally conscious design.

In addition to the traditional runway shows of a fashion event, this festival includes a broader programme of exhibitions, seminars, workshops, discussions, and guided tours. Of particular interest is the Greenery seminar programme, which features local and international experts discussing sustainability, fashion, and entrepreneurship. Additional events include a designers’ exhibition, clothing-swap initiatives, fashion design tours, and educational workshops aimed at encouraging more responsible consumer choices.

At the conclusion of the Estonian Fashion Festival, the most sustainable designer will be awarded the Sustainability Award.
