Rock legends are returning to the Baltics as the Scorpions, from Germany, will perform on 31 July 31 at the Unibet Arena in Tallinn. This will be the band’s only outdoor concert in the Baltics next summer, and is part of Scorpions’ 60th anniversary tour.
Founded in Hanover in 1965, the Scorpions are one of Europe’s most successful rock bands. Over the course of their career, the band has sold more than 100 million albums, and their music has left a lasting mark on the history of rock. Classic songs such as “Wind of Change”, “Rock You Like a Hurricane”, “Still Loving You”, and “Send Me an Angel” remain among the most played rock hits in the world.
The Scorpions’ international breakthrough came in the 1980s with the albums “Animal Magnetism”, “Blackout”, and “Love at First Sting”. These releases also took the band to the top in the United States—a market that was difficult for European rock bands to break into at the time. Songs like “No One Like You”, “Big City Nights”, and “The Zoo” made the Scorpions a global stadium-level name.
The Scorpions are known for their powerful live performances, which captivate audiences both in sold-out stadiums and through major television broadcasts reaching millions of viewers.
The band achieved particularly iconic status with the song “Wind of Change”, which became a symbol of the end of the Cold War. The song elevated the Scorpions beyond a rock band into a cultural phenomenon, and continues to be played around the world from generation to generation.
The Tallinn concert offers a rare opportunity to experience rock history live at an outdoor summer event. Ticket sales begin on 22 December at 10:00 simultaneously in Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Latvia, and Lithuania. Members of the Baltic Live Agency concert club can purchase tickets starting 19 December by registering for free on the event organiser’s website at www.balticlive.ee. Tickets are available in limited quantities.
