Burger Box Offers Great Food for a Great Price

Although the terrace is empty in the photo, it fills up completely in the evenings.
Although the façade of Burger Box doesn’t create high expectations, inside awaits a quirky, Alice in Wonderland-like world: a small and dim dining area, a tall bar counter, a retro-style diner section, and walls lined with building panels decorated with numerous menus and fitting artwork. There are green plants on the tables and walls, and the toilet even features a My Little Pony collection.
Through the back door you’ll find the large covered terrace, which gives off an underground vibe. There, a mixed crowd of Tallinn locals sit enjoying the house dishes and craft beers.

The basic burger is very reasonably priced. It costs only €8.50, which in Tallinn is exceptionally cheap for a good-quality burger—especially as the patties are not pre-made. The menu also offers more unusual burgers, such as the kimchi burger, which was truly delicious. If you can’t handle spiciness, choose a more traditional option. Vegetarians have their own veggie burger available.
The house laksa is worth trying. The bland chicken added nothing to the soup, so if you order this dish, choose tofu instead. It gives the soup much more flavour than chicken. The soup is mind-blowing, and so large that I asked if I could take the rest with me.
The menu includes five different portions of fries. Have you ever tasted spicy kimchi fries or fries with truffle or nut sauce? If not, head straight to Burger Box! The burger place opens its doors at 15:00.
