The Estonian Beatles Tour

Text Stewart Johnson

The Estonian Beatles Tour

The Beatles are such an iconic group—possibly the most famous band ever to exist—that they even have their own spelling in Estonian: Biitlid. To celebrate their timeless music, four beloved Estonian singers are coming together for five concerts in four locations in the country to sing their greatest hits.

Koit Toome is a household name in Estonia. He has represented Estonia in the Eurovision finals, he’s had countless hits on local charts, he has performed on every stage in the country, and has appeared in virtually every music-related show on Estonian television. It would be hard to imagine a local Beatles cover band without his participation.

Mikk Saar, also practically a household name, is known primarily as an actor and singer in stage musicals. He has also appeared in nearly each music-themed television show, and has won several awards.

Robert Linna, the son of national icon Ivo Linna, is an Estonian pop musician. Juss Haasma is a famed stage, film, and television actor, as well as successful musician. These four talented singers together will compose the legendary Beatles ensemble—the Estonian edition.

The first concert is 24 October in Mooste, Southern Estonia, at the Mooste Manor Folk Complex. The second concert is four days later, on 28 October, in Tallinn’s Alexela Concert Hall. The following day in Tartu, at the Vanemuine Theatre, is the next concert, followed by the Pärnu Concert Hall on 30 October. Due to the popularity of ticket sales, there will be an extra concert in Tartu at the same venue on 10 November.

Tickets and more information are available in Estonian here.
