Kanamaja Fest is back in Tallinn next week, on 16 August! This extremely fun, one-day festival will be by the sea this time. It’s not just a music festival though. The festival will also feature art exhibitions in several locations. There will of course be food and beverages available. The obligatory handicraft fair will naturally be present, where visitors can buy all manner of unique, Estonian-made goods.
Two stages will be set up—one on an indoor stage, and one on a truck. Twelve artists will be playing throughout the day. The Truck Stage will feature Estonian bands such as Such A Vain Endeavour, which plays “slacker rock”; The New Cool, playing jazz; Mariin K, playing shoegazing music; and Robotorr, playing “space indie rock”.
Two Latvian bands will also play on the Truck Stage, and they are: Les Attitudes Spectrales, playing “noise rock”; and All Day Long, with their signature ska punk sound.
The Indoor Stage will feature Estonian artists Skoone, playing punk; Model Citizen, playing “noise rock”; and Ocean Districts, playing post-rock. Finland will be represented by Möyhy-Veikot with their “multimedia punk”; and Surut, with their “post-black” music. And finally ORB, from Lithuania. Many, many people are familiar with their stoner rock.
Additionally, there will be a children’s area, and a tattoo area. These areas are not in the same location.
